Pupil Premium
What is Pupil Premium?
Pupil Premium is a stream of funding that a school receives in addition to its main funding. The Government believes that the Pupil Premium is the best way to address the current underlying inequalities between children who are deemed as disadvantaged and their peers by ensuring that funding to tackle disadvantage reaches the pupils who need it most.
The head teacher, on behalf of the Governing Body, decides how that funding is spent and is accountable for ensuring it has maximum impact.
